China Energy Engineering Group Heilongjiang Energy Construction Co., Ltd. recently announced the bid-winning results for the energy storage equipment procurement of the Xinrong Hebang 400MW/800MWh energy storage power station project. Jiangxi Ganfeng Lithium Battery Technology Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid with ¥400 million, translating to a unit price of ¥0.5/Wh. The project strictly adopts a containerized layout, with the core component being a 400MW/800MWh energy storage system. This precisely comprises 80 energy storage units, each with a battery container capacity of 5MWh. It is reported that the Xinrong Hebang energy storage station is co-developed by Hebang Power Technology Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Yichu Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Ganfeng Lithium), with China Energy Engineering Group Heilongjiang Energy Construction Co., Ltd. acting as the EPC (engineering-procurement-construction) contractor.

Technically, the project is divided into partitions no larger than 50MWh each, resulting in a total of 80 energy storage units, each rated at 5MW/10MWh. Each unit consists of 2 battery containers and 1 PCS (Power Conversion System) + step-up transformer integrated cabinet. Constraints include partition size limits and standardized unit structures. Furthermore, the project employs a highly efficient integrated solution designed to enhance the reliability and cost-effectiveness of the energy storage system.

The project officially commenced with a groundbreaking ceremony in March this year in Xinrong District, Datong City, Shanxi Province, geographically marking a regional energy transition. Industry feedback indicates that, serving as an exemplary EPC model project, it has entered the implementation phase and is expected to drive upgrades in local energy storage infrastructure.
