December 2, 2024 — Zhuhai, China — Kortrong's large-scale commercial and industrial energy storage project has successfully been implemented and is now operational in Guangdong, significantly reducing electricity costs for businesses in the region. The project, which has a total scale of 49.2 MW/95.5 MWh, integrates 328 of Kortrong's all-in-one liquid-cooled energy storage systems, including two specifications: 240kW/466kWh and 120kW/233kWh, deployed across several cities in Guangdong, such as Zhongshan and Zhuhai.

This project, featuring a total of 82 units of the 240kW/466kWh and 246 units of the 120kW/233kWh energy storage systems, has been implemented to serve high-energy consumption industries such as electroplating, glass manufacturing, chemicals, metal products, and auto parts manufacturing. The energy storage systems facilitate peak shaving and valley filling, demand-side management, and enable optimized electricity use, resulting in significant cost savings. The systems also provide emergency backup power and enable load-shifting, ensuring stable production while reducing energy costs.

By leveraging Kortrong’s Distributed Energy Management System (EMS), the energy storage systems are equipped with intelligent monitoring and early-warning capabilities, enabling businesses to optimize energy usage, reduce carbon emissions, and drive green, sustainable development in the manufacturing sector. The project has delivered notable economic benefits, optimizing energy distribution and ensuring reliable power supply for the client enterprises.
The successful implementation of this project marks a significant step towards reducing energy costs and advancing the development of a low-carbon, efficient, and sustainable industrial ecosystem in Guangdong.
