
Recently, Gotion High-Tech successfully supplied energy storage battery units for the 7.5MW/20.526MWh integrated smart energy project of State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) at Huada Semiconductor (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. The project has been successfully grid-connected and put into operation. This marks the first large-scale application of Gotion High-Tech's energy storage products in the semiconductor industry, effectively reducing electricity costs for the enterprise and ensuring a reliable power supply for the factory.
The project is located at Huada Semiconductor (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. in Jiangsu Province. The total installed capacity of the energy storage system is 7.5MW, and Gotion High-Tech has provided six advanced liquid-cooled battery modules with a total storage capacity of 3.421MWh per unit, resulting in a total nominal capacity of 20.526MWh for the entire facility. The battery modules use Gotion High-Tech’s self-produced 300Ah lithium ion phosphate (LFP) cells, known for their high safety, high energy density, and long cycle life. Each battery module is equipped with temperature monitoring at the cell level and heat insulation for the cells. The modular adjustable pipeline design ensures excellent thermal uniformity, while the BMS (Battery Management System) and liquid-cooling system enable efficient and energy-saving operation. The battery units are also equipped with a three-level fire safety system, providing comprehensive protection for fire safety.
The project operates under a "self-use only, excess power not fed into the grid" model. Once operational, the project is expected to perform approximately 675 charge-discharge cycles annually, with an average annual charge of 11,122.83 MWh and an average annual discharge of 9,454.41 MWh. This “peak load shifting” strategy will significantly reduce the company’s electricity costs. The energy storage system not only helps smooth out the load curve for the company but also serves as a backup power source, ensuring the stability and reliability of the factory's power supply. Additionally, the system plays a key role in integrating clean energy, saving energy, and reducing emissions.
