The Microgrid System integrates FFD POWER’s proprietary ANY PORT SCADA system, enabling a parallel communication architecture between local and remote control units. By connecting the Siemens PLC, PCS, BMS, and TSO (Transmission System Operator) interface to a unified gateway, the system can simultaneously support local control logic and remote dispatch. Meanwhile, the Siemens PLC ensures local safety interlocks and control logic remain fully functional and secure. The Microgrid System comprising four Galaxy 261 cabinets and an MPS microgrid hybrid inverter, builds on the advantages of full-function integration by combining EMS, PCS, and BMS in a compact design with a minimal footprint. Its modular architecture and plug-and-play installation enable fast deployment in limited spaces, while supporting multi-energy integration and intelligent scheduling, significantly shortening construction timelines and reducing installation costs.
The Microgrid System features a seamless switch between grid-connected and off-grid modes via an integrated Static Transfer Switch (STS). The STS switch time is below 10 milliseconds, ensuring virtually unnoticeable transitions during grid outages or restoration—providing uninterrupted power supply to critical loads. The system also incorporates an isolation transformer capable of handling 100% unbalanced load, ensuring stable and reliable operation even under uneven load conditions. In addition, it supports diesel generator (DG) load rate control, enhancing fuel efficiency and reducing operational costs.
