The thickness of the nut is divided based on the nominal diameter of the nut. For ordinary M-thread nuts, the dividing points of the thickness are 0.5D and 0.8D (D is the nominal diameter of the nut). GB6172 hexagonal thin nut thickness: 0.5D≤thickness<0.8D. The bearing capacity of this structural nut is very limited and it is mainly used for connection pairs that bear shear loads or connections of non-established structures.
